2005 Dodge Ram 1500 HEMI Maintenance?

I am 17 and just purchased my first vehicle. It is an 05' but only had 33,000 miles on it. I really want to take care of the truck and try to make it last for a long time before any huge repairs are needed. The dealership changed the oil for free, but thats it. Im thinking about changing the oil again tommorrow and put "good" quality oil in it.

I really want to know what fluids the truck takes and what brand is the best? Such as:

Brake Fluid
Engine Oil 5.7 HEMI (manual says 5w-20, but I want to know whats the best brand)
Oil Filter
Power Steering Fluid
Coolant
Transmission fluid (automatic)
and Air Filter, should I go cold air intake?

Thanks, I know that is alot to answer, but the manual really dosent say much and google didnt help lol. Seriously thanks for the help
 
Well Factory they put in Havoline, but you would be good going with Valvoline, Quaker, or Castrol. I would put on the Mopar filter if you want to keep it as factory as possible, however K&N, and Bosch make very good quality filters. The Transmission fluid is ATF4. Again I would go with the Mopar ATF or Valvoline or Castrol. Most of the fluids are all made with the same brand names. Pick a brand and stick with it. Also to help with some of the PMI (Preventative Maintenance Inspections) check out allpar.com. They have tons of information about the Mopar lines and things to watch out for and do.
 
The only things I'd really worry about is the oil and coolant. I've always liked Castrol Synthetic Blend and as for the viscosity I wouldn't run anything lighter than 10/30 unless you live in a really cold climate. Over 60 degrees I'd use 10/40.

The reason they're pushing so light of an oil is you get slightly better gas mileage but it comes at a cost...premature engine wear.

I've used to like Fram oil filters but all the name brands are pretty much the same. Coolant I've always liked Prestone.

As for a cold air intake like one from K&N they work pretty well, just make sure they're legal in your state for that type of vehicle otherwise you're going to have to remove it to pass what ever smog inspection program you state has.
