i just bought a 2004 yamaha 660 raptor CHEAP !!! but it has a small problem , i doesnt run . let me break it down for ya , trying to start it of the button it spins over so fast i thought the bike was gonna flip over !! like it has no compression at all , or like it is not turning the motor over ,but somehow freespinning , but when you sit on the bike and rock it . it sucks and blows as if it has compression , so i called the local yamaha shop and they told me the raptors was notorious for trashing the starter clutch which would in turn NOT spin over the motor. so i got to thinkin if i put this bike in gear and then try to start it that would tell me if the motor is spinning over or not , so i did and when i done this i thought the bike was gonna take off so basically i havent a clue now as to what the prob. is i bought this bike thinkin wow easy fix and make some money but damn i dont know any help would be kool !!!
