Hi guys,
Please help me make a decision.
Is it OK to buy a 2004 Toyota Prius Hybrid that has run 70K for 3200. I'm a struggling student trying to get the first car. The guy says its under warranty, no accidents, everythings good. Is it OK to buy a hybrid one. Please help, I gotta decide quick.
Holy Shit, Holy Shit, Holy Shit. Yahoo Answer rocks. I should have done a bit of a research. And thanks to you too, Just a few minutes ago I found out that its a scam. I was thinking of taking the risk otherwise. Hehehe, 2004 Toyota Prius for $3200. It was on craiglist and the sucker pretended to be a US army Lieutenant soon to be deployed to Iraq. He'd ship me the thing freely from North Dakota to CA. Oh my gawd!!! I'd have been dead. I borrowed money from here and there to get myself the first car. Guys can anybody hook me up with a decent car, 97/98 and higher around $3000 and less. Honda, Toyota, Nissan.

That's a great price...... too good actually.

Where did you see the ad? If you saw it on Craigslist, it's probably a scam.

If you contact the seller and he claims he's a overseas but can ship the car for you for free if you pay using eBay/Yahoo Payment Services, it's 100% scam.

Never buy a car unless you can test drive, have it inspected by a mechanic and verify title/registration. Always buy locally so you can do all the above before handing over your money.

No, very crappy vehicle, the last thing you want is to be seen driving one of those vehicles, might as well tell the world your a .......

EDIT: in response to your additional information, I guess you would have to be extremely dumb to buy a preius esp if you would fall for the shipping scam
