OK, I have a 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee that has been giving me problems. It randomly stalls out sometimes when you shift into reverse. Also while driving up the road, my RPM will start going crazy. My Jeep will stall out as if it is loosing power then as I accelerate the RPMs will skyrocket. So I pulled into a parking lot and as I pulled in and let off the gas it just died and rolled. I waited for a little while then it started back up perfectly. So the stalling in reverse and on the highway is a random unpredicted issue. A mechanic checked out my fuel filter and the pump as they are known to go bad in Jeeps but found nothing.
-Also this may not be important but this has all started happening lately after we have had very cold days as I mean in the 20s and 30s for highs on top of a big snow we got last month where I first used the 4WD this year and I shifted in and out of 4WD continuously to adjust to the highway, backroads and my driveway.
-Any help would be greatly appreciated? sensors, wiring, transmission, fuel problems....etc...
