2004 Jeep Cherokee Keep Stopping While Driving?

Hi Everyone,

Just recently I notice my car keep turning off while I'm driving. The last time it stop, the engine came on. I was wondering before I take it to a mechanic, I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me figure out what might be wrong with the vehicle? I notice that my car has been shaking a little more then usual also. I hope someone can help.

Please read the question you wrote and revise it... It is very confusing the way it is written. So I cant properly advise on your question. I'm assuming by Cherokee (witch in the USA they stopped manufacturing in 2001) is the UK version of a jeep liberty?

From what I gather your engine is vibrating witch is indicative of a misfire. Please answer the following..

Type of engine... 4Cyl 2.4 Petrol/2.8l 4Cyl Turbo Diesel/ 3.7l 6Cyl Petrol
Are you having harder starts?
Is your engine stumbling at idle?
Do you have any Check Engine lights?
Is it Auto or 5sp Manual?
