2004 Honda civic rattling noise?

Hi,

I drive a 2004 Honda civic and I just towed the vehicle on a tow dolley from San diego to New York. The vehicle only has 58,000 miles on it and now when I drive it I hear a rattling coming from the driver side near my left foot. The car only rattles when I accelerate and as soon as I let off the accelerator it stops. It doesn't sound like it's coming from the engine but I can't seem to locate the noise. Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you.

It might something loose by the doors.... that plastic cover that holds the buttons so you can lower the windows up/down check it out.

Only thing i can think of is the fire shield that is bolted between the bottom of the car and the engine or exhaust

Although i'm pretty sure the exhaust snakes down the center of the car and off to the passengers side in the rear.

You're best bet is to jack the car up, put it on jack stands, start it up and take a closer look. It may be as easy as tightening a bolt that came loose.
