So my friend has a 2004 Ford Ranger 2wd with a 4.0 V6 with all long travel suspension for the desert. This last weekend he ended up blowing his tranny. It's the second time he's blown it. He's got the rear 4 linked with massive the suspension travel so the drive shaft is constantly moving up and down. He brought it to the transmission shop and the tech said that it's better to rebuild the stock tranny. He said a C4 isn't good for a daily driver because the rpms on the frwy will be pretty high. My buddy also already has 4:56 gearing. Yes or No on the C4?
