2004 Dodge Stratus Problem ?

I have a 04 Stratus 2.0 Liter Engine. Yesterday when I was driving and stopped at a light the oil light came on. Istarted driving and the oil light went off but when I stopped again it came back on. I stopped and put a court of oil in and the light didnot come back on but in the past when I stop and the car changes back to idling speed it sputers almost like it is going to die the oil light flickers but it would immediatly correct its self and the light go out help!!!
 
when your car is at an idle it seems to have a low oil pressure problem not low oil level. maybe your idle is too low or your cars oil pump is dying.
 
you may need to check the plugs in it ,when they get some wear on them and mileage they will cause this too happen,basically you may need a good tune up and you may also need a new oil sending unit on it,its designed to shut the engine off if it gets low enough on oil, but if they start to go bad they will also cause one to try and die out on idle,id have the sending unit checked and replaced if needed,good luck.
