Hello,
As in the description I have a 2004 Dodge neon SXT stuck in Limp Mode. The error codes I got from turning the ignition key on, off, on, off, and then back on was P0700, then the car said, "done". I went to autozone and got the car scanner and it came up with the P0700 error code, and it also came up with P0750 error code, "shift solonoid A malfuntion". The car will not go past second gear. Also the speedometer does work. The transmission is not making any weird noises, whining, grinding, skipping, ect. I know it might be a solenoid problem, but I have read this might not be a cause, I have read with people having the same problem and replaced the solenoid and the error code still comes up and the car will still not go past second gear. Are there any more faulty parts that cam cause this problem? I have also reseated all the connectors on the PCM and the connector on the solenoid pack (with the 8MM bolt), unfortunately this did not work, I thought maybee a bad connection. I also can not find out any pinout for any of these connectors. Is there one? Is there any way of testing out the solenoid without tacking the transmission apart? I have also heard it may be the TCM. Is the TCM in the PCM, are these one unit? My PCM sais it is from Huntsville. I have heard these units from Huntsville are defective. Is this true? Also I have inavertedly ran along a long line of recalls for 2004 neons. One of the recalls was the PCM. I called the Dodge dealer that I bought the neon from, and of course they are denying them all. Is there any number any one I can call to get a complete recall list. I have already checked the dodge.com site and found nothing. One of the recalls was a faulty radiator, whitch went bad on my car, cost me a pretty penny, and they deny this recall too.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you,
Blaise
