I have a 2004 dodge intrepid. It over heated on me and had to jump start it. got it 5 miles and then just died. Got it towed home and tested the voltage on the battery. was fine, 13.something volts. I turn the key to start it and the starter will click and u can see the belts kinda move ever so slightly, but will not turn the engine over. I have not tried to turn the crank yet but will this weekend. I checked the oil and it is very gummy and smells burnt. I have a feeling that it is internal but kinda hope it may be a weak starter. Any ideas or something I may have missed? any suggestions are welcome, as long as they are not replace your engine................lol. anyways, thank you for any replies you can give.
