i have change the themostat and still running hot.what puzzles me is that the hose on top going into the radiator is HOT. but the bottom hose on the car is cool to the touch.The fan didnt even kick on. so what im thinking is that their is a blockage in the radiator.
 
there may also be blockage in the engine block its self causing this to happen,i have ran across this a lot on those cars,and that alone will stop the coolant from circulating through it,blockage in radiator will also cause it and because of the design of those its really hard to flush them out,i usually replace them if i find this to be the cause,good luck.
 
either the radiator or hose is clogged. to unclog radiator you step 1: remove old rad.

step 2: buy a new rad.

step 3: install new rad.

step 4: fix all the leaks in the cooling system the right way, and flush all the quick fix out of the system before refilling.

step 5: refill an bleed the air out of the system.

step 6: drive.


Backflush the hose too in case its clogged:


Things You’ll Need:
Backflush kit
Utility knife
Plastic container
Garden hose
Cold water
Anti-freeze or coolant
Step1Backflush cooling systems by purchasing a backflush kit at a local auto parts store. A backflush kit contains plastic T-tubes, a backflow prevention coupler and a plastic splash tube.
Step2Allow your engine to cool completely before opening the radiator cap or disconnecting any hoses.
Step3Cut the heater inlet hose with a utility knife. This is the hose that runs along the firewall from the radiator to the front of the engine. It is generally on the driver's side of the engine compartment.
Step4Install the T-tube from the backflush kit that fits the heater inlet hose. Use the hose clamps that connect the inlet hose to the engine to tighten the T-tube securely.
Step5Remove the radiator cap and install the splash tube from the backflush kit. It should snap right into place and form a seal.
Step6Install the backflow prevention coupler from the backflush kit to the end of a garden hose. Hook up the other end of the hose to a faucet. Then connect the backflow prevention coupler to the T-tube you just installed on the end of the heater inlet hose.
Step7Drain the radiator by opening the radiator plug at the bottom of the heater coils of the cooling systems. Use a plastic container to collect the fluid.
Step8Reconnect the heater inlet hose to the engine using the remaining opening of the T-tube.
Step9Start the engine of the car and turn the heater on high.
Step10Turn on the faucet of the garden hose. Within a few seconds, you should start to see radiator fluid pour out of the plastic. You may want to use another plastic container to catch the fluid until clean water comes out.
Step11Turn off the engine.
Step12Turn off the water faucet and disconnect the garden hose from the coupler.
Step13Remove the plastic splash tube from the top of the radiator.
Step14Allow the water to completely drain from the cooling system. Close the radiator plug at the bottom of the heater core.
Step15Seal the T-tube with the cap supplied with the kit and refill the radiator with coolant or anti-freeze.
