...diagrams? hello. i have a 2004 dodge cummins diesel that all i did was change the oil in it. i filled the filter with oil an when i started it it lost oil pressure so i was told it was a bad filter so i replaced it that didnt work so i got a oil sending unit an it didnt work. but when i drove it it spun a bearing so i took it apart an fixed the bearing an all the other bearings are good so i changed the oil pump an still cant get oil pressure whats wrong? i need help?

On some engines there is a valve body bolted to the block that the oil filter attaches to. This might be your problem if the valve is bad. Also double check and see that you have the right oil filter. .

Some of the parts stores have a free print out system and they might be able to print out a full diagram of the whole oil and fuel pump etc system and circuit.

What I'd be wondering about is if the comp has bad wiring or wiring issues or if a certain plug in connector is loose or faulty or corroded or has a bad connection.

Just keep in mind that although at times comps indicate certain codes it doesn't really guarantee that the fault really is the part indicated or even actually does exist.I'd be making sure to check the oil pressure to be positive it is an actual oil pressure issue here.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way it might be a great idea to buy a full factory service manual it might run you a few bucks but the info is priceless at times bec it saves time and cash , some book stores also deal in service manuals too.Even the main local reference library can have such info or books you can borrow or make photo copy's from.
