2004 Dodge Durango Key fob stopped working?

Last night my key fob stopped working (won't unlock/lock doors). I replaced the battery, but it still won't work. I read online where sometimes the battery bracket falls off, but this is not the case with mine, it is still in place. Any ideas of what might be wrong and how I can fix it without buying a new key?
