I was at a red light and the car just died on me.It would not restart. It's not the battery because the lights, radio and wipers work fine. I just replaced the alternator and battery together exactly 2 years ago.I had to have my car towed but before I take it somewhere I want to get an Idea of what it might be because for one im a girl and for 2 since it wont start they will know im desperate and try to get over on me. Thanks for the help!!!

Dont know if this helps but I had new brakes an oil change, wheel bearing, and axel fixed last month.

Might be time to run this thing into a pole and get a new car.

It can be many different things. You have to find out if the car is getting fuel to the engine and that it is getting spark. First check all of your fuses but my guess is that you may need a ned fuel pump or ignition coil.

Most likely it is either a Fuel problem or a Ignition problem, the recent work you had done to it does not sound like it would be related. Good luck :)

Could be a fuse. My Sebring has done that a few times, but it hasn't actually died while running.

For me it's a 20 amp fuse under the hood that is labeled "start amp" or something. Mine is a 2001, so when that blows, I have lights and locks and all that but no radio.

But if it is the fuse, you need to do more than just replace it. If you don't find the reason why it blew, it will do it again at some point.
