2004 Cadillac CTS vs. 2004 Acura TL?

Alright, so the time has come for me to get a new car. I am 6'4" and about 275 pounds, so i need a car that has a strong engine and is roomy on the inside. After persuasion from my parents, they agreed to double whatever money i saved from work to buy myself a car for my 18th birthday. right now i have a 1998 toyota camry, and i am looking to get something with more horsepower and of course better quality.
i have narrowed it down right now to an 04 acura tl and an 04 or 05 cadillac cts. what would you recommend and why?

and i am open to other suggestions as long as it is stylish, a v6, and is under $15,000
 
I have to say one thats not there. Look for a Lincoln LS. For your 15k budget you cold get a super nice car, V6 or V8 engine, rear wheel drive 25-26 mpg(city) 5 speed manual or auto choices,and if you shop around (try autotrader.com) you might have enough to buy upgrades or whatever. The LS has good performance,style,features,ride,etc.
 
I am a huge fan of American cars... in fact, I buy nothing but... which makes it all the more important when I say: forget the '04 CTS and get the '04 Acura TL. The newer CTS is a MUCH better car, better even than anything Acura makes currently. Having said that, if you prefer the '04 CTS, make sure it has the 3.6-liter V6 as that motor is comparable in performance to the '04 TL.
 
The CTS is a pretty junky car, a friend of mine leased one, not sure of the year, could be an 05. The thing spent quite a bit of time in the dealership getting repaired, the paint on the front bumper started peeling in the first year. What initially looked like a nice car turned into a gong show. I know many people with a TL, never heard any problems. The perforated leather seats show more wear than a solid leather seat would, mechanically though.., well its a Honda.
