2003 Toyota Corolla cruise control problems?

At 98,000 miles the cruise control went out. I've checked all the fuses ( even the ones under the steering wheel) and the manual doesn't say anything else about it. The light comes on when I press it: it just won't hold the speed.

my car has over 100K miles on it so I don't think it's covered by a warranty.

and the model is a 2003 Corolla LE
 
check for a cracked vacuum line. there should be a round metal canister that is connected to a cable that runs to your throtle body. one cable is the gas pedal the other goes to this round vacuum thing I dont know the actual name off hand. but thats what holds your throttle in place if the vacuum line is leaking or has come off it will stop working.
