2003 Pontiac Grand Am automatic 4cyl. bad speed sensor?

I was told I have a speed sensor going bad. Called Auto zone they say there is an input and output and I need to know where they are located. I think I found one but not sure which one. Can someone please help
it is on tranny not wheel
