My wife's parents live in Europe and recently bought a used 2003 Mazda MPV with a turbodiesel engine. No one in their town seems to know the first thing about this car and they're having trouble getting good service.
The local technicians recently replaced the turbocharger with one that was "Identical... except a few different numbers in the part number." Since then it's been misfiring and stalling. I suspect they used the wrong version of the turbo (incorrect compressor or turbine wheel). I'd like to find documentation that would point me to the right model of turbo.
I'd also like to find a source of diagnostic trouble codes for the DIESEL version of this car. All the pages I find are for the gas version sold in the US. Any info is helpful. Thanks!
