I have an 03 Lincoln LS that had been parked since July of 2010 because I needed a part and couldn't afford it at the moment. This past friday, I got it fixed, but was told that there was another problem creating the noise and it could be brought back on Monday. This is a shop that my brother works in so I can trust them. While driving on the highway it sounded like something just broke right in the middle of traffic. Originally my brother said that there may be a problem with my axle and or transmission. My car no longer can be switched into or out of gear. I was told that to fix the gear it would cost 500 for the part and 250 for labor at the place that I had my car towed to. I am sick of the issues with this car and would like to know that if the car is not drivable at this moment if it is still sellable. I need to get rid of the insurance. I never knew how much this car would cost me and have definitely learned my lesson. I also wondered if insurance companies have something that may cover it, my air bag came out during the incident. I am so upset and really need some answers. Thank you.
