M Michael New member Feb 13, 2010 #1 ...tapping it.? I have a 2003 honda accord 160-hp, 2.4-liter I-4. When I accelerate from 0mph the car takes off quick, but then stops going as fast. I was behind a car once at a red light i tapped the gas pedal and i came really close to hitting it.
