my ford trk a. c. started switching from blowing air out the dash vents to blowing out the defroster vents, it did it off and on for about 2 weeks now it just blows out the defroster vents, still cool but not right, any ideas ?
Vacuum hose problem on the door actuators for vent control. This unit is mounted up underneath the dash board mostly on the passengers side of vehicle. a small portion of it is located above the hump in the floor as well. If you can figure out how to remove glove box liner and kick panel under dash on passengers side. You can wiggle your hand up in there and try to locate a broken or loose vacuum line going to the big black odd shaped box under there.
IF you have the electronic actuators instead of the vaccum lines then replacement of the actuator is the solution.
