I have a 2003 Ford Explorer. On the side of the drivers side door, there is a nylon gear that has a slot cut into it in order for the door to properly close (and I assume to stay shut) by letting a latch on the car itself slid into it. While trying to fix something else, i rotated the gear counter-clockwise and now, the slot is faced away from the door latch, and it is not closing. I was wondering if there was any quick fix for this, or if i would have to go into a dealer/auto store to get it fixed. Any ideas?
