I was driving about 65 on the interstate.. had my cruise set and then my light came on to look at my hot/cold meter and my truck was running hot. i knew i had plenty of coolant so i knew it was a different problem. well took it to the shop and they said it's for sure the water pump. So im paying them to replace the belt i broke and the bad water pump. i dont think the engine got tooo hot because i pulled over VERY quickly. they want 115 to replace the thermostat.. should i replace the thermostat? ive done it on my smaller isuzu truck but not on my ram. it is necessary? Thanks for your input and help!
