2003 dodge intrepid se 2.7 check engine light and some times oil light?

i have a 2003 dodge intrepid se 2.7 with about 86,000 miles on it. The check engine light came on and i brought it and had it fixed after about a week the engine light came back on and now when i stop after driving for a couple miles the oil light will flicker once i hit the gas it seems to shut off till i stop again i was wondering what this might be if its common in intrepids.
 
try changing the oil sending unit on it,when those start going bad they wil do that and it will also cause the check engine light to flash on once in a while good luck
