2003 Chevy G 3500 Van?

I have a 03 Chevy G 3500 Van, 6.0 I was driving down the street and it just died out.I let it sit for about 15 minutes and it started up and it's running again.Now the dash board lights and gauges are going crazy.While running the volts,gas and temp gauges goes on and off also the battery and day time running lights,warning lights click on and off with the gauges.It's driving me nuts.What could it be,HELP

have your alternator checked.they will do strange things when they are going out.
