Hi,
Got in the Toyota monday morning and started it then noticed the back window was open.. Hit the UP button and the motor hummed as usual, the window did not move, then there was this horrible bangbangbangbangbang sound as the entire door shook violently. I then hit DOWN and ran the power window motor until it stopped. Walked around and pushed the window closed by hand. Then while holding the window in place ran the power window UP until something hit the window and pressed it closed tightly. As long as I leave it alone the window stays closed. Anyone know what exactly might be broken? Do I need a motor , or a regulator? How is the mechanism attached to the glass? I would open the door and see but it is cold and I haven't got a heated garage. Any ideas? Any idea if this window will stay in place till next summer?
