I need to lower my 02 classic and I see 2 options. New 1.5" lower shocks or the lowering kit.

Can I get away with the lowing kit or will it effect the ride?
Its the cheepest way and here is all Hiway riding.

If shocks are the best way to go than what should I be looing for.
I have Progressices adjustables on my Softail and I love them.
Thanks Sibs

For the time being is money is a factor consider the 1" lowering kit with the 13" stock shocks that are on your EG...You'll be much happier in the long run with the 13" over the 12" simply due to the additional 1" worth of travel...Also before you officially bite the bullit on a set of shocks do c search on changing the fluid over to something a bit heavier in the shocks...Might just be the ticket your seeking...

I had the lowering blocks on my RK, and it would bottom out, tire rubbed the top of the fender...I went with the Progressive 440's and loved those. I have the HD low profile shocks on my 07 EGC and so far like them, but not as much as my progressives.

I know if you do a search there are some good reviews of the new Progressive 940's that give you 1" lower with the full travel of a longer shock.

Many other good options for shocks, but I would go with the Shocks over the lowering blocks..

I had a 1in lowering kiy on my 04 classic, rode ok but it also bottomed out, tried Hd low profile shocks rode a bit better and no bottoming out,but i wanted it lower.I sent my shocks with 50,000 mi on them to Bitchen Baggers and had them lowered 1 and 1/2 in.Rides the best of the others and is also lower, but anytime you lower shocks you will lose a bit of the ride.

Money is not an isue because I will be doing this during the winter when she is down.
Ill look into the 940s as well as the oil. My main problem is my right leg is ****ed and I need a bit more bend while sitting on the bike. I figure lowing it should do the trick.

Thanks guys

I have to look into the 940,s Will also check into the Bitchen Baggers.
Is there a web site or an email address for the?
Sibs

You can try Phoenix Customs for Bitchen Baggers, they are located in Ariz.Cost is 175 plus ship, you can fit shocks in a Priority mail box($12) and save on ship

www.bichenbaggers.com for bitchen baggers , the progressives you can go through any of the vendors on here like dennis kirk, phat performance , dr v-twin etc.

I read up on both, so now Im toying between the 940s and the shocks at Bichen Baggers. Nice site by the way. I really like the shifter spacer and am inpressed with the brace as well. Read the write ups on it,
So much to learn about thses twin cams and the classic in general.
Glad I got it. Something to play with ove the winter as well.lolol
