This problem started a few months ago. The car idles ok, but during acceleration it misses and is very low on power until I get over about 2000 rpm, then it smooths out. After a quick inspection of the engine I noticed a weezing coming from around the air box. I then saw that the fresh air intake tube was split open. I replaced it and immediately the problem went away. While I was under the hood, I also replaced the pcv valve and plugs. The trouble light went out and It ran great for about a week then the same symptoms came back. I inspected the fresh air intake again, but everything looked good. I'm guessing I have a bad sensor, but do not know where to start. I took it to autozone to get a free computer code check, but all I got was #2 cyl. miss. The suggestions i've gotten are the MAF, EGR (which I understand is common with this car) and the crank position sensor. Since I am not made of money, I would like to try to narrow it down if possible. It would help if I could extract the trouble code. Can the ecm be jumped to flash the code on the dash? If not, any suggestions would be very very appreciated. Thank you.
It only does this when it's warmed up. It runs fine when cold.

you have to use a scan tool, it can not be jumped. it's more than likely the plug wire breaking down under load, but it could also be the coil pack to the #2 cyl breaking down. a cheap haynes repair manual would give you the resistance values to check the coil with a volt/ohm meter. it's not going to be a map,o2, tps, egr, or crank sensor. they won't cause a misfire in 1 cyl. go back to auto zone(a different one, those guys don't know what there talking about) and if it still says misfire in #2 cyl, or any other cyl, it's more than likely bad plug wires.
