It is not efficient. It has a V6 engine with over 200HP and it is RWD. All meaning the gas mileage is bad.
It gets around 27mpg highway.

My 2006 IS350 gets around 21city/26hwy if I don't touch the gas but just coast everywhere I go
Normally, it gets about 17/24 with regular driving (I drive fast).
Oh! One other thing. I don't know about the IS300 but the IS350 takes premium unleaded fuel only! Ouch! Try $64 to fill my tank! You might want to check the IS300 requirements.

the is300 is an inline 6 not a V6.
but it will not be too great on gas.
in real world driving expect about 17 city, 24 highway.
but its still a Great, reliable, and good looking car. buy it .
