2002 intruder 1500 lc.

Just purchased 02 1500 with 710 miles on it with some extras.Still has the stock exhaust and jetting, air filter.I have seen these bikes but never had been on one.To tell you the truth it is one of the best riding bikes i have ever been on.For now i am going to keep the stock exhaust on it.I have been the way of the loud pipes and re-jetting and i think it has a nice rumble to it already. Not trying to start anything with people who have already put aftermarket pipes on there bikes.I have noticed that there is a small leak of somekind on the final drive somewhere.I have been on the bike about 200 miles so far.The more i ride it the better i like it.It kind of reminds me of a 1994 harley davidson fatboy i had.Any known problems please reply.Sorry so long,i have new toy owner syndrome.Thanks.

Welcome! Pretty good choice, as the 1500LC is a good bike with few flaws. I assume the fuel tank recall work was completed. Other than that there are no major problems with the model, just the usual little quirks most models have. Make sure you change the clutch fluid, as it is most likely original, and at will break down over time and leave you on the side of the road on a hot day. I have a buddy who put over 100,000 miles on his, and another who had racked up over 65,000 riding around the country with me, so the bike should give you many years of enjoyment.

Welcome Gvance, Agree with the others you have yourself a nice ride. Son has 03 LC 1500 and loves it. Saddle on that one is like an easy chair, great comfort. Decent dig when you want to move out. Hey ENJOY !

I have a 99 and love it. With 17000 miles. Went on 1300 trip with the Misses and no problems. The 02 have dual front brakes, that's what I wish my had because I'm getting 4000 to 5000 miles on my brake pads.

I have 2 into 1 cobra HP and sound good not too loud, with them I could add larger bags. Removed the pairing valve no more popping noise from pipes.

Just got a Mustang seat, putting on this weekend. That doesn't mean I riding it in this cold.

Good Luck with it. It have the nice low end torque. I tach about 2500 rpm at 65 mph and no vibration. The only bad thing with the bike is the fuel tank. With the extra large windsheild I get about 34 to 38 mpg so 100miles and gas station.

Go to this site http://forums.delphiforums.com/RLCMC/start it's all LC1500 and C90's. Alot of good info.
