2002 grand jeep Cherokee, how to increase acceleration (I6 engine)?

I have a 2002 grand jeep cherokee with an inline six engine. I was wondering what i could do to increase the acceleration of the vechicle. It has a slower acceleration than what i thought it would for a inline six. (just bought it)
