2002 Ford Mustang won't start?

I own a 2002 Automatic Ford Mustang (6 cyl). I drove it last night and it was perfectly fine. I turned all lights off when I got out of the car- the only thing I didn't turn off was my radio. This morning I stuck my key in and turned, my interior lights and dashboard lights all came on for about a second, there was a click and it all went out. Now it won't start at all and there is no sound. The interior light will come on, but goes out and then comes back on and goes out again and it's very dim. The lights on my dashboard won't come on, except every few tries the battery light and service engine light dimly come on and quickly go back out. The alternator was brand new as of last summer. What is wrong? Is it just my battery?
so after I jump it or charge it, then what? will it be okay or should I just put the money into buying a new battery?

your battery is drained. jump start the car and let it run for 15 mins or more without shutting it off. or charge your battery.
