when i am driving and starting to slow down my 2002 ford focus zx3 begins to go into the red so when im at every light i have to rev up the engine and let up off the clutch a little and this makes it cool down a little, but when i start accellerating it will cool down more then after going for about 2-3 miles in 4th gear it will begin to go into the red again so im always hoping to get the red light so i can stop and rev up the engine, i recently got a new thermostat put in also what could this be?
i live in dallas tx and its starting to get hot, when i took it to get the thermostat fixed the guy said that there is a possibility that it could be the radiator because water is not flowing to the engine enough so i should get it fixed, also i have heard that those are symptoms of a bad relay or the coolant temp sensor is bad but i dont knw anything about cars so i just wanted to ask to see if someone had the same problem
No it does not overheat while in 1st and 2nd gear !!! but when im in 4th staying steady at 40 mph it starts going back up again so should i just replace the radiator in all?
