I've been driving with this condition since purchasing the vehicle used about 40k miles ago. It hasn't changed since (for better or worse). Tell me if this is something I should be concerned about.
The vehicle hesitates to upshift at approximately the 30MPH and 40MPH speeds (higher if carrying extra load). I could stay at those speeds and the car would remain in its current gear revving at over 2000RPM and never upshift. When I get to 5 miles over those speeds, only then will the car shift into the next higher gear.
In addition to that, let's say the vehicle is in 4th gear and going at 45MPH. If I let up on the gas to cruise (dropping my MPH by a mile or two) and depress the gas to speed up, it immediately kicks back into 3rd for a few moments before going back into 4th. Not sure how to describe this beyond saying that the transmission seems awfully "sensitive".
Also, after I make a slow turn (2nd gear) and start speeding up, I often hear a metallic clunk from underneath.
