2002 dodge stratus problem?

The car starts but after it starts it seems like the engine is going to turn off but then it accelerates its self a little and it goes back to normal and when i put it in drive and let go of the brake it turns off by its self. One time when i was trying to show my brother what was wrong with the car it just turned on like normal and i went the the street to try it out but i notice it wouldn't rev higher then 3k so i took it back home and when i tried to start it again it would do that same thing that would happen at first. The check engine light is on and it says it is the throttle position sensor but we tried it on an other stratus and it worked right.
The engine is a 2.7 Dohc
 
take it to your mechanic. i think it might be bad sensors giving false readings to your car and thats why its acting up.
