I have a 2002 Dodge Neon SXT with approximately 72000 miles on it. Recently, I've been getting a repeated P0456 engine code. Naturally, I checked my code at my neighborhood AutoZone, and saw it was EVAP System Very Small Leak Detected, and I got the code deleted and replaced my gas cap. So, I thought no problem, hopefully it'll be gone. Few days later, it comes on again. This has been happening for a while (the code), so I went and got it checked again. This time, three codes came up: P0442, P0455, and P0456. Now I'm at a loss.
I know P0442 is Evaporation System Leak Detected (Small), P0455 is Evaporation System Leak Detected (Large), and P0456 is EVAP System Very Small Leak Detected. I'm not sure what it could be, or if Neons are notorious for these codes. Can anybody help?
Also, I changed my PCV valve recently (after the regular P0456 codes), and then the other two codes (P0442 and P0455) came on. I checked the hoses and I know the PCV valve is on correctly, so I was wondering if a faulty PCV Valve would turn on those codes.
Please help, and thank you in advance.
