2002 Chevy Impala-Radio went into lock-will not work?

I have owned this car since 2002 and I have had several electrical problems. The car wouldn''t start so I disconnected the battery cables and cleaned them. t
The car started but the radio went into lock.
How do I undo it?
It is the original radio!!
 
you can call the dealer and give them the vin number and they can if they will give you the code to unlock the Stereo, sometimes for free,
 
There is no unlock code for the RDS radio used in the 2002 impala.You will need to have your local chevrolet dealers service dept unlock your radio using a Tec-2 scanner.On the older models of delco radios you could get a unlock code from the factory.The RDS radio can only be unlocked using a Tec-2 scanner.Please call around some of the GM dealers in your area.All GM dealers use the Tec-2 scanner.Some dealers will charge a higher price than others go with the best price sense its the same work being done.Best of luck with your impala.
