I just left the garage, where i was informed i have a bad transmission. MY car is 2001 Toyota Corolla with only 13,00 miles on it. This car was given to me by my aunt and is literally the little old lady car.
The said that the transmission housing around the output shaft is worn away. They showed me how loose the cv shaft was where it goes into the transmission. It seems very strange that a car with so little use could have such a problem. They say i need a 200 dollar transmission job. Any help would be great.

I miss typed it was a 2000 dollar transmission job. I just don't see how that could be worn out. They said something about a bearing in there two so maybe that is what is worn out, not the housing.
