I have a car alarm with a trunk release output. I have it all wired, I have the trunk release solenoid, I just can't find a good place to put the solenoid. The release is on the lid, which makes it difficult to connect anything to it. Has anyone installed a trunk release solenoid on a 1997-2001 Camry with success? If so, where exactly did you install it? Any help is appreciated.
Additional question, can I weld (with flux core) the solenoid to a bracket, or will it melt the internals? I destroyed the bracket that came with my solenoid.
