2001 Jeep Cherokee wont start.?

Ok I asked this question earlier and got some good answers but none worked. The battery and alt. are both in good working condition as I had them checked. I ran the test where you pull the negative battery cable and fuse and the test passed. But im still having the problem. It starts at times and times it dosent. When it starts I can hear the fuel pump kick on and when it dosent i dont hear it come on. My gauge lights all come on all of the time but I notice that my gas gauge dosent read that there is gas in the tank, but on the times it starts it does. Any body have any other suggestions?
 
Sounds like you tested the alternator, how did you test the battery, did you take it out and get it load tested? if not it can still be the be a weak battery.
