2001 Jeep Cherokee w/93k rebuild or crate motor?

I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport with 93,000 miles. Low oil pressure (10lbs at idle, ~30lbs @ 60MPH). "People" tell me it could be rod bearings or oil pump. I changed the oil sensor and have put a guage on the block. Reading is accurate.
If I take this to a garage they will want to pull the pan and see what is going on. If the process is started I am committed to have the original motor repaired. Is rebuilding the motor a better option then a crate motor?
Kind of upsetting, I bought this car for the motor and I have motor problems...go figure. The car is spotless and this is the first real problem I have had. Is it worth fixing or should I trade it in for a new car?

Been there before. You have to do the math. Get a quote for the crate engine, mechanic to remove the engine, mechanic to install the engine, and to take stuff off the old engine and put on the new one. Now get a few quotes for a mechanic to do the rebuild. Remember with the crate you will have a warranty with the mechanic if you have problems it could be with another part of the engine and not his responsibility. Also how long are you going to keep the Jeep ? If at least four years it might be worth it to get the crate. Good luck not an easy choice.
