2001 Ford Focus SE for my first car?

i found a car i want and its a 2001 Ford Focus SE and its for sale for $4200 and it has 58,000 miles on it so do you think its a good first car? is it a good price for a first car? is it to much to ask from my parents? i know my dad has plenty of money to buy stuff and my mom has a little so should i ask for it? im getting my permit this summer (im 14) so i need a car

and yes the legal driving age in my state is 14
 
You say that you are getting your PERMIT this summer. If you are only getting your permit you really have no reason to have a car. It will just sit until you get your license. I say you're counting your chickens before they hatch here. Don't get ahead of yourself. Let the car pass, because you don't want a car to just sit in a driveway waiting for you. If you are getting a permit you can't drive by yourself anyway, so there is really no reason for you to have a car.
 
You can't drive until you are 17 and in the mean time before you drive , Go Get a JOB !! Start saving your money towards the car. Help Mommy and Daddy out. Times are tough now.
