It's been driving me nuts ever since I got the truck. What do I need to do to fix it? The truck is a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with a 2.5 coil spacer up front with 35" BFG's. I've got a good 4-6 inches of play in my steering. It's very tiring driving the truck on long trips and can be quite dangerous at times. I've heard about this problem but haven't got an exact answer yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. *Update* I just took a look at the steering column shaft connecting to the steering box and there is quite a bit of play at the box, my guess is I have a bad steering box?
