My wifes car had a problem weeks ago where it would stall out and not restart until the car sat for 10-15 mins, 3 days in a row like clockwork. No codes but I changed the cam pos sensor and it stopped.

Yesterday she drove the car at lunch, went back to the car and it would catch but immediately stall out. There were no codes. She left the car and when I went later on, it started right up and I drove it home. I changed the crank pos sensor for the heck of it since I read these go faulty often.

Today same thing happens but it does throw P1391 which is intermitant cam or crank pos signal.

The car is a 3.5L car. Any ideas where else to look??

Well if you've changed the sensor with a brand new one that what I'd do is try getting a straight small screw driver and unplugging the sensor then cleaning the contacts on both the male and female connector , if that doesn't fix the problem pick up some of the same thickness or gauge wire that the sensor plug in wire is and trace the wires so you can replace them.
There should be a tan/yellow wire that connects to the PCM pin 44 but not sure if it's for sure pin 44 bec I'am going by a different diagram. The main comp=PCM is located under the air filter housing assembly.

Hope that helps and best of luck.
