2001 dodge dakota quad cab driver window regulator?

I have a power window that recently the end of the cable became frayed and spun freely along the track. I bought a whole new replacement regulator and fit it into the door but it seems to be too tall to put the screws back in that hold it against the door frame. Is there anyone who has experienced this and knows how to fix it and make it fit properly?
 
did you measure the old one to make sure they gave you the right one,because the last one of those i worked on you had to lower it in the door and hook the power up to it and then it will lower down enough to put the screws back in,that's probably whats wrong with it ,most repair manuals wont help too much on this one either,good luck.
