Why is the old one junk now? I suspect that if you ran the old one to long you could have rendered it unusable. If you are going to install another engine , why would you want to change the gasket on it if it has no known gasket issues? Any way, this model engine has had issues with the plenum. That's the intake manifold that covers the gasket in question. I have had to replace the plenum because of corrosion problems on the inside of it making the mechanic think its the intake gasket leaking so beware of this as you do your repairs. Its not hard to replace any of these parts. Be careful on the little bypass coolant hose when replacing the gasket or plenum for it can be tricky not damaging the o-ring when re-installing it.
