2001 Buick LeSabre?

While turning the wheel and Backing out of my Garage in the A.M. I hear a noise coming from somewhere close to the fire wall inside the engine compartment. Its not a matalic noise it sounds like a plastic gear running on a plastic geared track...any one have any ideas??

it might be the power steering pump, check the fluid.

power steering pump whine ...some cars do this till they warm up and the fluid in the pump thins out

You may be low on steering fluid.
Or you may have a worn steering pump.
