2001 Buick LeSabre turns off while driving?

I bought a 2001 Buick Le Sabre Limited back in August and it drove just fine for a couple months. My problem started in mid November when I started having troubles started the car. It would take a couple tries before my car would start. I just figured it was due to the weather getting colder, but then the problem got worse. When I would stop at stoplights my car would start to rumble and shake and then would eventually would just turn off. Then it started turning off while I was driving. It would only happen once in a while but now it happens multiple times a week. It has also gotten harder to start the car. I now have to hit the accelerator while starting it for the car to start.

Me and my dad took it to Tires Plus and they did a tune up on the car which included changing the fuel filter (my dad thought thats what the problem was), The people at TiresPlus drove it around for a while, and they said they had no problems, so I thought the problem was fixed, but it has continued to turn off while driving and especially while stopped at stoplights. Does anybody have an idea what the problem could be? I'd really appreciate it because I don't know much about cars and would like to have an idea about the problem could be before I take it back in.

it could be water in the lines or a bad fuel pump or its just dirty. you could go to the auto zone near you and get some dry gas for the water in the lines. some heat for the frozen water and get some fuel clear that will go through and clean the pumps and the injectors that was what was wong with my car and that help to fix all the stalls.

Sell it now!!!!!!!!!!! Same problem with mine but the first the I would check is the M.A.F. sensor (mass air flow sensor). its right by the air filter (3800 and 3100 series II and lll) that part is cheap after that You might need to start getting in the main ECU a.k.a. the brains of your car thats when the wallet gets thin. I hope its the MAF or I'm wrong all together, otherwise good luck!!!!!!!
