2000 v8 5.9 liter dodge dakota surges?

IMy dodge rus rough when it starts acts like it wants to stall then when it warms up it goes away does this everytime i start the car. I have 92000 miles on it and am wondering if anyone has any clue where to start looking for the problem. there is no check engine lite on the dash. thanks
