2000 Toyota Echo- Do I buy it?

I have the option of buying a 2000 Toyota Echo, automatic transmission, for about $3000. Less if I haggle. Everything works and the car has 113,000 miles on it. It's in good condition, nothing exceptional, and pretty sound mechanically. The guy has been brutally honest about it, detailing the car as best as possible. I still need to get the VIN and Carfax it. Assuming the title is clean, as he says he is the only owner, do I buy this car?

Did you meet this person? Was it on Craigslist, if so it could be a scam. Also you may want to kelley blue book the value of the car by going to Kbb.com
